The archive of memory, a secret place, distant in time, that passes through distant sensations, feelings and forgotten thoughts. The search for one's identity through the exploration of subtle and remote worlds, to be recalled within oneself and in the places of the soul.
From these assumptions was born the idea of painting a large polyptych that enclosed all this. An invitation to contemplation and imagination, which, beyond a personal search, allowed each spectator to find their own stories in every room, face and time. The atmospheres and lights of Buenos Aires were accomplices in this intent. The use of transparencies, present for years in Davide Querin's painting, helped the artist to make real the feelings, thoughts and memories that would otherwise not be visible. In each of the sixteen paintings of this polyptych, nothing is represented as it is in reality, neither people nor things, everything is metaphysical matter and dreamed dimension. The interiors merge with the exteriors, the conscious with the unconscious, the real with the symbolic, in dimensions where time and geographical distances do not exist.Overall size: 3 meters x 3 meters.
